Supporting Farms, Reducing Waste, Feeding Community

The Market to Meals program is a partnership between ANCA's Local Food System Program and the High Peaks Farmers' Markets that gives fresh, surplus produce a second purpose. Instead of going to waste, excess products from participating farmers' market vendors are purchased and delivered to a local community kitchen, where they're transformed into free meals for Saranac Lake area residents.

Made possible through grant support from the Glenn & Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation, this pilot program helps strengthen local farms, reduce food waste, and improve access to fresh, healthy food in our community.

Interesting in learning more? Come see us in person at the Saranac Lake Farmers’ Market on Saturday’s at Riverside Park, 9am-1pm.
