Marsha’s Maple House

Malone, New York

Markets: Lake Placid

Marsha’s Maple House began in 2014 by Steve and Marsha Gokey as a way to diversify their family dairy farm and make use of the beautiful maple woods surrounding their farmland. What began as a small project became a family tradition and has grown into a thriving maple operation.

In the early years, the family tapped about 1,500 maple trees and hauled the sap offsite to be boiled. A few years later, they built their own sugarhouse and began the full process of turning maple sap into maple syrup right on their farm. Today, they continue the tradition each spring when warm days and cold nights cause the sap to flow. From tapping the trees to boiling the sap and bottling the finished product, the result is delicious maple syrup!

Today, Marsha’s Maple House continues to grow both their maple operation and their line of maple products. What remains the same is the family’s commitment to producing 100% pure maple syrup and sharing the tradition of maple sugaring with their community.
